A fantastic new Sunday bus service for Elmhurst and the Coppice was launched on 2 August. The 6A runs from the town centre to Elmhurst, the Coppice and Cleveland Park every 30 minutes between 0930 and 1600 on Sundays.
The service is run by Redline buses, who also run the successful Water Rider route between the town centre and Watermead. Douglas Robinson of Redline buses said, ‘We’re delighted to launch the 6A; we believe it’ll prove a popular choice for people living in the area who currently don’t have a Sunday service. Hopefully this will also benefit businesses in the town centre who will see increased trade’.
Cabinet member for Transport, Valerie Letheren said, ‘This service is great for residents in Elmhurst and the Coppice giving them a good alternative to car travel on journeys to the town centre.’
